DASSAULT SYSTÈMES' EXECUTIVE BRINGS DEVELOPMENT AND INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE

Broomfield, CO – July 29, 2010 – Spatial, a division of Dassault Systèmes, the leading provider of integrated 3D development components for engineering and manufacturing software applications, today announces the appointment of Jean-Marc Guillard as Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Guillard brings 20 years of experience within Dassault Systèmes development, professional services and information systems organizations. After many successful positions in DS R&D, he took full responsibility for the development of the DS geometric modeler that was at the core of all DS PLM V5 solutions. Jean-Marc Guillard has a deep understanding of the development process and needs of the development community as well as a unique experience in working with Dassault Systèmes’ marketing and field organizations. His experience will help Spatial customers expand their business, successfully manage the implementation of V6 technologies, and reinforce Spatial’s position as the best partner for ISVs developing next generation 3D applications.

Jean-Marc Guillard replaces long-term CEO, Keith Mountain, who remains with the company in a strategic advisory position through the end of the year, and will then retire.

Mr. Guillard’s appointment coincides with Spatial’s introduction of CGM (Convergence Geometric Modeler), the 3D geometric modeler used in all Dassault Systèmes’ V5 and V6 PLM solutions. CGM is the first of many exciting new V6 technologies Spatial plans to offer to the third-party development community.

"The recent product introductions offer exciting new opportunities for Spatial and our customers. We will continue to support the existing customer base and their applications while providing an expanded portfolio of components and an industry leading 3D development platform based on V6 technologies to a wider group of application developers," stated Mr. Guillard. "Spatial has an outstanding development organization, field team, and an impressive set of customers. I look forward to leading this highly-talented group and working closely with our customers. I’d also like to recognize Keith for his outstanding leadership over the last nine years that has put us in a great position for continued success."

"I am extremely proud of what Spatial has accomplished during my tenure. Our business greatly expanded through the introduction of new products, and I am convinced that CGM will drive expanded customer adoptions and continued growth," stated Keith Mountain. "I am especially pleased that Jean-Marc will be leading the company going forward. He has been very supportive over the years and already has a thorough understanding of our business and our customers. His experience within Dassault Systèmes helps ensure Spatial is in the best position to leverage technology innovations to the betterment of our customers."
