INDUSTRY VETERAN TO DISCUSS THE ROLE OF GEOMETRY COMPONENTS IN ENGINEERING SOFTWARE
Broomfield, CO – Sept 7, 2010 - Spatial Corp., the leading provider of 3D development components for engineering and manufacturing software applications, is pleased to announce that Michael Payne is the keynote presenter at the upcoming 3D Insiders’ Summit 2010. The Summit is being held on September 28-29th at the Westin Hotel in Westminster, Colorado. Mike’s presentation discusses the history and role of geometry components in the engineering software industry.

Mike is well-known in the CAD industry for his vision and technical leadership. In 1985, he co-founded Parametric Technology Corp. (PTC) and was Vice President of Development. Mike co-founded SolidWorks in 1994 and held the position of Executive Vice President of R&D. He became Chief Technology Officer for Dassault Systèmes, before moving to Spatial Corp. as CEO soon after its acquisition in 2001. In 2005, Mike became CEO and co-founder of SpaceClaim and is currently Chairman of the Company’s Board. Mike was this year’s recipient of The CAD Society’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
At the Summit, Spatial’s developer community will learn how to best utilize and implement Spatial’s 3D software components, see what the future holds for Spatial’s products, and network with industry colleagues.
